Big Decisions on the Horizon in 2015

Let me start off by wishing you all a blessed holiday season.  I hope your Christmas was better than the last and you got to spend it with loved ones.  I got to spend it over here with my family in Korea.  Things are still busy as ever, but my period of being on director detail is finally up.  They have asked me if they could extend me and promote me which feels good, but I’ve also been thinking about retiring soon.

I’ve really been missing out on what’s been going on back home, especially with my old fishing club the BANK Anglers in Northern California.  This club has put out some great anglers like Ish Monroe and Mark Daniels Jr.  It’s hard to stay over here when I see all these pictures of the guys catching giant’s back home.  It all really depends on what happens with the boat situation like I had mentioned in the past.  With it being so hard to have a reliable boat to fish out of over here it’s hard not to get frustrated.  A big part of my decision will have to do with that, but there may be something in the works, that I can’t say as of now.

The fishing season has slowed down here with the cold weather, but I’m still hard at work trying to solidify all my sponsors for next season.  I have been in contact with my manager, Patsy Rubio back in Los Angeles and we’re working together on it.  I did get a deal with Seaguar which I’m very exciting about for next season.  They make excellent line and I’ve been talking to the guys that are over here in Korea.  I’ve also signed again with Solar Batsunglasses.  It’s great to have the sponsors that I do and I truly believe they are the best in the world.  They have stuck with me even as I’m over here in Korea.

Next seasons KSA schedule is out and I’m planning to fish it once again.  I’m looking to get back to the states in June if I do end up taking the extension which would conflict with some of the tournaments.  It’s all up in the air right now, but I’d love to get back to the states to get some fishing in.  I will be going to the big Fishing Expo here in February which is a huge deal.  It’s a great place to promote my sponsors and be around some fishing even if it’s not going on outside!
